The Metrology, Standardisation and Conformity Assessment Section is a structural subdivision within the Quality Infrastructure and Market Supervision Directorate of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitisation.

The mission of the section is to ensure the organisation and coordination of standardisation, metrology, accreditation and conformity assessment and technical regulation activities at national level.

Objectives:

• To substantiate and ensure the implementation of the policy established in accordance with the governance programme for the specific areas of activity – standardisation, metrology, accreditation and conformity assessment and technical regulation;
• Ensuring the promotion, support and follow-up of the implementation of measures and actions arising from programmes resulting from international agreements, conventions and understandings in the field of standardisation, metrology, accreditation, conformity assessment and technical regulation;
• Initiating and promoting bi- and multi-lateral cooperation projects in the field of standardisation, metrology, accreditation, conformity assessment and technical regulation.
