A 100% Digital State: The Digital Transformation Strategy of the Republic of Moldova for the Years 2023-2030, Approved by the Executive

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the Digital Transformation Strategy of the Republic of Moldova for the years 2023-2030, an important document for the future of our country. This establishes the vision of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization for digital development until 2030 and reaffirms our commitment to building a modern society focused on citizens and aligned with the European integration agenda.

The main objectives of this strategy are ambitious and focus on promoting the sustainable development of the country. We intend to:

1. Developing a Digital Society;

2. The development of a strong and competitive ICT;

3. Creating an innovative and resilient digital economy.

4. Establishing an efficient, intelligent, and transparent digital state;

5. Creating an accessible, safe, and inclusive digital environment;

6. Consolidating the Image of the Republic of Moldova as a Digital Nation.

,,It is important to mention that the implementation of this strategy requires joint efforts from all parties involved: both government institutions and the private sector, as well as civil society. Together, we can transform the Republic of Moldova into a modern and prosperous digital nation, ready for the challenges of the future,” stated Mihai Lupașcu, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization.

The project was developed with the support of development partners from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization aims to create a fully digital future. Currently, 44% of online public services are available for entrepreneurs and 34% for citizens, but the ultimate goal is for all public services to be available in a digitized format.
