The last week to apply for compensation of up to 10,000 lei for the transition to self-employment: Approximately 70% have complied with the new regime
August 25, 2023, Chisinau – There is less than a week left for former patent holders who have transitioned to independent activity to apply for compensation of up to 10,000 lei. Since the implementation of the reform until August 24th, over 70% of retail traders have complied and are operating with the cash register.
In the last two weeks, nearly 1,000 former patent holders have transitioned to independent activity.
,,Last week – 358, this week – 634. In total, we have 2,861 former patent holders who have transitioned to the new regime. We are at approximately 70% transition. People have willingly complied and are working from home. The majority, however, did not allow themselves to be manipulated by political messages, and that’s a good thing. Now I work legally, with a fiscal receipt for consumers, under normal, fair conditions and with facilities,” stated Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba.
The Entrepreneurship Development Organization has received 2,422 compensation requests, out of which 1,031 have already received the due funds. The value of the compensations granted up to the present moment is 6.6 million lei.
The transition to independent activity means:
- 1% of sales – the lowest tax rate in Europe;
- Without cash registers, paperwork, and reports;
- Sales ceiling, increased fourfold – from 300,000 lei to 1.2 million lei;
- Period of activity – unlimited;
- The first three years – only advisory checks;
- Home appliance and other expenses, up to 10,000 lei – reimbursed.
The reimbursement of transition expenses can be requested until the deadline of August 31, 2023. These funds can primarily be used for purchasing household appliances or other necessary work to modernize the activities carried out. Through these measures, we aim to support businesses and promote economic growth in our country. Applications for requesting reimbursements can be submitted online until the current date of August 31, on the webpage www.oda.md or at the territorial subdivisions of the State Fiscal Service (SFS). The compensations will be granted within 30 days from the acceptance of the request, for expenses incurred starting from January 1, 2023.
