I. The Directorate for Information Technology and Digitalization Policies within the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization ensures the activity of the ministry by developing, coordinating, and monitoring the implementation of policies and normative acts in the following areas:

• Digital society and economy;
• Information technology;
• Digitalization of public services;
• Cybersecurity.

The Directorate’s mission is to analyze the current situation and challenges in the areas of its competence, to develop effective public policies in line with priority development directions, including through the transposition of European Union legislation. Within the Directorate, there are two sections:

• The Section for Information Technology and Digitalization Policies is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring the regulatory framework in the areas of: information technology, digitalization of public services, and the digital economy.
• The Section for Cybersecurity Policies is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring the implementation of policies and normative acts in the field of cybersecurity.

II. Directorate for Electronic Communications and Postal Services

• Develops policy documents and draft legislation and regulations in the field of postal communications;
• Ensures the development of annual programmes of issues of postage stamps, establishing their structure and theme, coordinates the issuance of stamps and postal stationery;
• Contribute to the implementation of new postal communication services;
• Cooperates with foreign postal authorities and represents the Government in international postal organisations within the limits of its competence.
